The Vog Vlog! was first uploaded on April 29th, 2010. The name originated after some research (Googling) in to what really personalized the Big Island of Hawaii. Vog, or Volcanic Smoke, can really personalize the Big Island because of the Kilauea Volcano that is currently active and sends Vog in to the air daily. Depending on the wind direction, Vog can quickly spread West to the rest of the state, or sit on the Big Island.
