Jehovah’s Witnesses website gets an upgrade

jw.org Home

jw.org Home Page

watchtower.org has been the homepage of Jehovah’s Witnesses for a very long time. Officially as of September 1st, 2012, watchtower.org and other JW affiliated websites such as jw-media.org has consolidated in to one, modern, informative website: jw.org.

jw.org has been used for the public to download publications and locate nearest meetings and conventions. It was also used to communicate with the congregations around the world. But now, jw.org got a face-lift and now is the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

There are currently 5 sections to jw.org. Home, Bible Teachings, Publications, News and About Us.

Home is a portal to the latest publications, news and contact information.

Bible Teachings directs people to various articles that we use to explain the doctrines found in the bible.

jw.org Publications

Publications is another portal that allows the user to download publications in four different formats. Two visual formats: EPUB (Compatible with iBooks) and PDF (Compatible on most devices) and two audio formats: MP3 (Compatible on most devices), AAC (Compatible with iTunes). You can now download magazines going all the way back to 2010.

jw.org News

jw.org News

News gives the latest news about the organization and its work. What is really nice is that every news article now includes photos and perhaps a video. I suggest taking a look at each new article that comes out in the future.

About Us explains the organization as a whole and how we operate. There people can request a Free Home Bible Study, locate our brach offices, meeting times and places and convention dates and locations.

As the technology world grows, it is very encouraging to see the organization keeping up with the most modern technology.
